Finance Business Partner

We are looking for a Finance Business Partner to join our Development team in Southgate, London. You will be the key financial lead for one area of the business and will support the Director of this area in the delivery of their departmental strategy. The role will offer a combination of business acumen along with a strong financial ability in order to put finance at the heart of any business decision making.
About the role:
Ensure the content of all financial information is robust and accurate, including month end management accounts, budgets and forecasts
Create the commentary for, and interpret, management accounts, budgets and forecasts and guide partner operational services
Guide partner operational services when assessing all new business opportunities and their commercial viability, modelling the impact on the business
Ad hoc financial analysis with suggested actions for improvement
Advise colleagues of the financial consequences of business decisions and guide accordingly
Promote the Metropolitan vision and ensure it is realised in all activities and services
Work with business leaders and budget holders to determine the parameters of service delivery and customer service protocols for your team
Recruit, induct, lead, develop and proactively manage performance to achieve continuous improvement in service outcomes
Assess and report upon the viability of partner operational services` business plans
Ensure that an effective financial risk management strategy is in place for partner operational services
Be responsible for the preparation of both management and statutory accounts for Metropolitan
Be responsible for the management of all relevant control accounts and ensure that reconciliations are undertaken to preserve the integrity of financial data
What we`re looking for from you:
Qualified accountant (CIMA or ACCA) with significant experience of financial management at a senior level
A strong communicator across a wide range of audiences, presenting financial information in a user-friendly manner
A strong commitment to customer service and overall service excellence
An understanding of financial management within the housing / property sectors
Advanced IT literacy
An affinity with the work of the social housing sector
