Working for a leading brand within the beauty, home and gift industry this varied role that sits within the merchandising team; you will be responsible for creating and maintaining weekly reports which will drive product development and demand planning decisions. You will also analyse, report and present sales and inventory figures to your Manager ensuring that stock levels are in line with forecasts and amending where necessary.

For this role, you will have 2+ years merchandising experience. You must be extremely strong in excel and data analysis but this must be complemented with commercial acumen and a positive approach.

As Data Analyst / Junior Merchandiser, you will:

  • Support their Merchandising / Demand Planning Manager analysing prior ranges, planning future launches and communicating financial implications of launch
  • Maintain the two-way communication process between Demand Planning and Sales to ensure as much information as possible has been factored into sales forecasts
  • Continuously improving the accuracy of the forecasting and the collaboration of the input
  • Work with demand planning team to ensure all purchase orders are raised in a timely manner and are accurately raised.
  • Collaborate with product developers to ensure bespoke and customised projects are scheduled with factories.
  • Work with internal teams to ensure key suppliers are performing within expectations and work with those suppliers to make improvements.
  • Support forecasting/planning to be focused on maximising business OTIF deliver of at least 95%.
  • Using all tools and inputs to ensure right product is delivered at the right time and within budget.
  • Support Demand Planning Manager with data and reporting to ensure stock levels are controlled to within budget requirements and turned efficiently.
  • Deliver the right product in the right place at the right time cost efficiently
  • Ensure stock availability issues are communicated in a timely manner and contingency plans are created to support the sales teams.
  • Use data and analysis to continuously improve accuracy of the forecasting and planning
  • Drive the optimisation of the stock availability through analysis and planning
  • Analyse Customer ordering patterns to consistently improve forecast/planning/scheduling accuracy, stock availability, inventory optimisation, and OTIF fulfilment
  • Monitor and analyse market and Customer trends to support Product Development and Sales
