About the role

Re is the joint venture (JV) company between the London Borough of Barnet and Capita set up in 2013 to deliver a full range of property, development and regulatory services to local authorities and commercial organisations.

We are looking for a Business Director to lead the operational offering of the Brent Cross Regeneration Team as part of the Regional Enterprise Joint Venture between Capita and the London Borough of Barnet.

Brent Cross Cricklewood is one of the capital's major regeneration schemes and among the most significant planned new developments in Europe. The Regeneration Scheme will deliver a new town centre for Barnet and North West London, creating up to 27,000 jobs and acting as a catalyst for future economic growth. More than £400m will be invested in transport infrastructure including new roads, increased capacity at key junctions and the creation of a new station on the Midland Mainline and Thameslink lines. Rapid and efficient links will be created between the Cricklewood Station and the new rail station, along a new High Street to the enhanced Brent Cross shopping centre and through to Brent Cross Tube

Delivering high quality Regeneration and Development consultancy services to both the London Borough of Barnet (LLB) and other public/private sector clients. The role will require effective engagement with the Local Partnership Team, Operations Director, Director of Place and wider Capita Business. The Team comprises circa 20 members of staff, providing strategic management and consultancy advice, but is also responsible of the appointment of design services and specialist consultants in the delivery of the individual projects.

The Director will ensure client expectations are met and implement communication and engagement with the Client and other relevant stakeholders at a senior level to ensure that actions and issues are effectively addressed and feedback is acted upon.

The role will report into the Transactional Estates and Regeneration Tower Lead.

What you will do:

Profit Centre Managers are primarily responsible for the financial and operational health of their Profit Centre. They will be ultimately responsible for meeting the agreed Annual Business Plan targets, whilst also supporting the organic growth of their respective business. Responsibilities will include; Management of senior staff and ensuring HR responsibilities are undertaken, H&S implementation, Office Management, Staff issues, Recruitment and Financial Reporting & Forecasting. They will work closely with their Finance Manager responsible for the Profit Centre.
