Purchase Ledger Clerk - up to £22K - Portsmouth

An international engineering business has an opening for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team in Portsmouth. You will be maintaining the purchase ledger and ensuring it's compliance to wider group policies.

Purchase Ledger Clerk Responsibilities:

- Matching invoices and orders
- Processing invoices from receipt onto the purchase ledger
- Productions of monthly electronic payment runs
- Liaison with external suppliers regarding payments and queries
- Managing all invoice queries to ensure they are resolved in a timely manner and preserve the relationship between the company and suppliers
- Maintenance of nominal ledger incorporating processing invoices and raising manual cheques
- Provide cover for the Payroll Supervisor when absent

Purchase Ledger Clerk Requirements:

- 5+ years experience in a purchase ledger position, within a manufacturing environment
- Payroll knowledge would be an advantage
