Our premium brand Automotive client is currently recruiting for the following role:

Division:
Electrical Engineering

Position Description:
An exciting opportunity is available in Smart Settings group to further strengthen our client`s market leader position. Smart Settings group is responsible for delivering Premium Cabin features including Artificial Intelligence systems, Personalisation and Identification.

You will be responsible for development of new features according to the V-Model including System Design, System Requirements, Component Requirements, DFMEA, Matlab Modelling, developing DVMs and DVPs and carrying out System Testing.

Skills Required:
3 KEY SKILLS REQUIRED

1. System Engineering experience including:
- Requirement elicitation at all levels of the V Model and stakeholder management.
- Requirements management and cascade using client systems such as DOORS, RMDV.
- Electrical Network Architecture specification, development and delivery.
- Experience of end-to-end development life-cycle.

2. Automotive processes and tools including:
- Automotive tools including Simulink/Matlab, Embedded Encoder, CANalyzer, Byteworks, CANape.
- Quality tools Quality History, DFMEA, AWS, PAWS.
- Product Creation Methodology such as TCDS, PCDS or similar.
- System development and delivery to programmes.
- AIMS, WERS, ED&T etc.
- Familiarity with project management (planning, tracking).

3. Interpersonal and Qualifications:
- Self-motivated, deliver with minimum supervision.
- Agile, swiftly adjust in changing environment.
- Flexible team player, able to liaise at all levels within the organisation.
- Strong team player with leadership skills.
- Full and clean driving licience.

Experience Required:
- Good track record of delivering complex Cross-Functional projects in automotive.
- System design and engineering of new features into vehicle architecture in accordance with client processes and standards (integration compatibility, power supply, HMI, quality, safety etc.).
- Client engineering disciplines and product development methodologies.
- Leading stakeholder reviews and align cross-functional team including Electrical Mainstream, Integration, Networks, Vehicle Engineering and suppliers.
- Full development life-cycle experience from decomposing customer requirements in system through to production and launch.

Experience Preferred:
- Prototype test and development (vehicle/HIL/etc.) and generating test reports.
- Develop and execute physical and virtual test activities, simulation, HiL Rig and full vehicle testing.
- Development and execution of DVMs & DVPs and management of software suppliers to ensure that their systems meet requirements.
- Support various builds during the development cycle.
- Manage issues, ensure slippage against delivery plan is contained and escalate where appropriate.
- Support the development of feature strategy and align stakeholders including Marketing, Research, Vehicle Engineering and Programmes.

Additional Information:
- Previous Automotive experience is essential for this role.
