Job Title: Maintenance Development / CI Engineer

Location: Manchester

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 + Benefits Package

Job Reference: IM3049

Following a number of internal promotions, our client is looking for a high calibre Engineer to lead maintenance and CI activities across a high volume packaging department. Great opportunity to join a blue-chip business which produces a broad range of market leading brands and offers excellent training and development opportunities. The site has recently undergone a period of significant investment and is set to continue to grow over the next few years.

The Role:

- Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving engineering performance across a busy packaging department.
- You will develop robust maintenance plans and put long term strategies in place to improve efficiencies and reliability of engineering assets.
- You will lead and offer guidance on the day to day maintenance activities, but this role is more concerned analysing long term trends and putting measures in place to deliver improvements.
- Highly collaborative role - you'll be working with colleagues from a range of departments, coaching and developing engineers and operators and also working with OEM's on training and performance improvements.
- Great working environment where attitudes and behaviours are as important as technical knowledge; fast paced, high-performance culture which is also informal with a strong emphasis on teamwork.
- Role would suit somebody in a similar role looking for a new challenge, or somebody looking to step up into a leadership role.

About You:

- You will be a high calibre, electrically biased Engineer with a proven background in delivering engineering maintenance improvements within a food/drink packaging environment (canning and bottling experience would be an advantage).
- You will have a sound knowledge of modern maintenance techniques coupled with a strong CI/Lean background (TPM would be ideal but isn't essential).
- You will have demonstrable experience of implementing and delivering change and improving performance in a fast paced, multi-SKU packaging environment.
- Confident in your approach, you will be able to work cross-functionally with colleagues at all levels across the business and also be able to lead, coach and inspire teams of maintenance engineers.
- You must be able to give examples of improvements you've implemented around Health & Safety in order to be considered for this role.

The Business:

- Blue-chip, multinational business producing a range of well-known brands which is committed to operational excellence and further growth.
- Excellent working environment; informal engineering department with a great team ethic in a business which offers comprehensive training and development opportunities.
- Part of a wider group, they offer excellent opportunities for career development at this site and others across the UK and beyond.

Interviews are to be held shortly, and suitable candidates will be contacted within 48 hours of application.

To apply for the role, please send your CV and salary details to Expion Search & Selection using the 'Apply Now' button. If you would like to have a confidential discussion on the role, you can contact the Consultant, Ian Murphy.
