A large energy business in central London has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced analyst to join their growing team. The successful candidate will have knowledge of the energy commodity settlement processes, a strong work ethic and the ability to deal efficiently with a range of queries from both external & internal customers.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Invoicing all standard physical OTC trades within contractual timelines.
- Invoicing of all swaps and options, and also non-standard products on an ad-hoc basis as required.
- Verification of inbound counterparty invoices and netting statements.
- Process netting statements for physical and financial OTC settlements.
- Investigate price differences and liaise with appropriate front office/IT support staff to resolve.
- Follow up on invoicing differences with counterparts in line with established procedures.
- Liaise with relevant Back Office teams with regard to late & misallocated payments from counterparts.
- Brokerage and FX Settlement.
- Support the management in developing long term IT and procedural solutions to increase efficiency and to mitigate operational risk in the invoice and netting process.

Ideal qualifications, skillsets and experience:

- Strong academic background with numerical/technical degree
- Experience working in a similar role for a UK energy trading house/supplier
- Knowledge of the settlement of physical commodities
- A confident demeanour and desire to progressinto a management role
- Extensive experience with Excel (Inc. pivot tables and v-look ups)
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
