Infrastructure Project Manager - Logistics & Distribution

Leading Supply Chain Logistics provider based in the south need extra Infrastructure Project Manager resource and are currently looking to recruit for a new position within their thriving company. Leads significant IT Infrastructure Projects using skill and experience in the implementation and improvement of ITIL-based services, datacentre services, hardware and networks.

Provides on-rota support for major incidents by liaising with and coordinating the activities of our service providers in seeking an effective resolution to the incident.

Leading IT Service and Infrastructure projects.

Leading in a collaborative environment

- At least 3 years' experience of and proven skills in IT Project Management.
- A background in the successful delivery of IT infrastructure and service management projects including server, networks and deskside technologies.
- Experience of Incident Management including major incident resolution in business-critical environments.
- Experience in running Change Advisory Board meetings.
- Experience in running Problem Management Investigations with multiple teams across multiple technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Drive and enthusiasm for identifying and delivering effective solutions.
- The experience, empathy and presence to work well with, and gain the trust of the operations during business-impacting service incidents.

You may also have:

- A relevant industry qualification in Project Management eg ISEB Certificate in Project Management, Prince2 Practitioner, APMP etc.
- Formal ITIL training and qualification.
- Experience of supply chain operations such as warehousing, transport or logistics.
- Working with IT Management, Architecture Team and partners captures and analyses requirements to design and deliver effective IT infrastructure solutions.

- Provides the effective Project Management role in the definition, documentation and successful completion of IT infrastructure and services projects ranging in size and complexity.

- Will provide, when required, full assistance to the Major Incident Management Team during those major incidents that require close coordination of our service and infrastructure partners' support teams. This role will be required on a rota basis across a 24/7/52 operating environment.

- Assists in the implementation of IT services and systems into new and existing businesses from initial design and documentation through to successful installation, training and review.
