Technology Procurement and Hardware Asset Manager, Birmingham

Joining my clients Technology team as the Technology Procurement and Hardware Asset Manager you will support the Head of Service Desk in order to audit, manage and control all technology hardware/assets across the business.

You will take responsibility for procuring and setting up a Hardware Asset Management Tool to support these responsibilities. You will manage all hardware suppliers, contracts and lease agreements and will take a lead role in negotiations and the renewals of contracts to ensure the best deal is achieved for the business at all times.

Working closely with the Service Desk and HR teams you will support the onboarding process for new starters as well as the leaver/mover processes, ensuring hardware is available, set up and replaced as required.

In addition to the above you will manage the company's mobile phone fleet, managing the supplier relationship and all tariffs, negotiating deals and monitoring billing, undertaking cost analysis as required. You will also be responsible for the coding and processing of the departments expenses.

Engaged in change you will continually look to improve all of the above processes, assisting with other Technology tasks and projects as and when required.

Based in Birmingham, this role will involve occasional travel to London.

The successful candidate you will have previous experience in a similar role. You will be organised with the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team. Experience processing and coding invoices is preferred. To apply you will have outstanding communication skills, with the ability to build relationships both internally with stakeholders at all levels as well as externally with suppliers. Negotiation skills are key to this role.
