The Role

The Business Development Manager is required for a unique opportunity to develop and manage multiple accounts with intermediaries and brokerages. The key focus being to build a portfolio of contacts and ensure that existing relationships are managed and developed to guarantee that all stakeholders benefit from the relationship.

This is a field based position and requires the candidate to work on their own initiative, planning their day to maximise business opportunities by building new intermediary relationships, managing existing ones and supporting them as required.

Being part of an award winning financial organisation, you will receive a competitive salary of up to £35k basic + £5k Car Allowance + Realistic OTE of £55-60k and benefits package. Plus a mobile phone and a laptop for company use.

Responsibilities include developing and managing a network of introducer relationships within the territory, proactively protecting existing business volumes and growing revenue from current introducers whilst simultaneously developing new intermediaries and business networks in order to exceed new business targets and develop a strong presence in the territory.

Skills:

- Due to the nature of the role all applicants must have a Full UK driving licence

- A background in Sales and a good understanding of Property Finance ( 2 years in secured lending sales i.e. mortgages, second charges, commercial, bridging, development finance)

- An engaging communicator with superior influencing skills, able to discuss and establish credibility with a professional audience

- Proven experience in relationship building

- The ability to effectively time manage

- Ability to deliver a professional and bespoke intelligent & entrepreneurial approach, tailored to each individual circumstance

- A proven track record of exceeding targets and delivering exceptional sales results in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment

- A demonstrable network of professional introducers

- Ability to work to challenging targets

- Passionate about providing unparalleled levels of service

- An experienced sales professional - quick to spot and develop opportunities - excellent planning, targeting & organisational capabilities

- Excellent communicator with strong presentation skills

- Account leadership - able to clearly articulate a vision of any plan with passion, ambition and energy to create support from colleagues.
