We are currently looking for a V2V Lead Engineer to work for a major Automotive organisation based in Coventry, West Midlands

Job Title: V2V Lead Engineer

Experience: TCDS process

Location: Coventry, West Midlands

Rate: From £22.00 to £25.54 per hour

Hours: 40 per week

The Role:

- Getting V2V technology into cars, at the 'right quality level' vs 'driver performance expectation', is key
- Grade D lead engineer is needed to develop a fully integrated solution into company vehicles (at TCU level)
- They will need to pull together the right stakeholders/teams, meet quality, safety and ADAS expectations
- Fully test, commission and carry out road trials to the full
- Work closely with HMI and user experience teams to target the best solution that fits driver expectations
- It is essential to prove the new technology at a very low level for it to be accepted as a feature with value

Skills Required:

3 Key Skills:

- Full understanding of 802.11p(DSRC)/LTE-VDC/LTE (3G/4G) and 5G communication protocols
- Has experience of the company TCDS process. Understands Infotainment, CAN and LTU systems
- Able to develop connected vehicle solutions in a high usage environment conforming to C2C consortium and legislation requirements

Ultimately to optimise V2V performance vs driver expectations and update management/business on progress

Experience Required:

- Honours degree in the relevant subject such as communications protocols, design engineering, HMI, Driver Ergonomics

Additional Information:

- 40 hours per week with 3.30pm finish on Fridays
