This is a superb opportunity for a talented in-house legal counsel join the Wealth Management Legal team based in the Central London offices. This team has sole responsibility for the legal aspects relating to the firms’ Wealth Management division; including maintaining and amending legal documentation for investment and banking services for high net worth individuals, trusts and charities, supporting strategic or regulatory change projects, and dealing with day-to-day business queries.
Your duties will include:·Maintaining and renewing standard terms of business, and related client documentation for the firms investment and banking businesses, both in the UK and overseas.·Advising on and negotiating general commercial contracts and other legal documentation.·Managing legal risk and ensuring effective transaction support across day-to-day operations.·Providing legal support for projects within the business for strategic or regulatory changes. ·Assisting with the legal aspects of new product development.·Advising on disputes, including client complaints.·Assisting with regulatory matters, including data privacy and cross-border financial services work.·Instructing and liaising with external counsel in the UK and overseas when necessary.
You will be a qualified legal professional with demonstrable experience within the financial services sector, including the legal and regulatory risks associated with wealth management and/or private banking services. A competitive remuneration package will be offered for the right individual.
