I am working with a highly regarded National Housebuilder who, due to a massive growth in their business, are looking to grow with the addition of a Land Manager to join their well established land team based in their Essex Head Office.
As Land Manager, you will play an integral part in the investigation and securing of potential housing sites to add to the clients land bank ensuring they have adequate land to fulfil the heavy demand they are currently witnessing.
Your day to day duties will include all areas of acquisition from identification of potential opportunities using a wide range of different methods through the full pre construction life cycle to the point where the site is delivered to the build team.
As a part of this role you will be expected to liaise with both internal departments to seek technical advice as well as external consultancies, where required, to ensure that the acquisition is achieved within both time and budgetary expectations.
In addition to this you will work closely with local networks building relationships with land owners and agents to ensure that your team secures targeted land before your competition.
To successfully complete this role you will have previous experience of land purchases and ideally be qualified to a degree standard in a suitable discipline including membership of a recognised professional institute.
Although it is not essential it would be highly beneficial to the client if you already had links in Essex within the land sector and had local knowledge of the geography of the area.
