The Company:

This national law firm based in South West London is currently recruiting for a Marketing & Business Development Manager to join their team on a maternity cover. Reporting into the Director of Marketing & Business Development, you will be responsible for the management of the department’s BD strategy, marketing plans and the coordination of the firm’s Client Relationship programme.

The Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the BD and Marketing Director in managing the BD department budget
  • Pro-actively supporting the strategic and operational development of the BD department
  • Assuming responsibility for strategic and operational projects with support from the BD and Marketing Director as required, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Acting as a first point of contact for senior level marketing queries in all areas of BD and marketing, providing advisory guidance to partners and fee earners as required
  • Deputising for the BD Director when required to ensure service delivery is maintained
  • Responsibility for strategic input and day-to-day management of the firm’s CRM system
  • Working with BD Director to develop and oversee all digital marking activities, including the development of the firm’s website
  • Developing and managing all off-line marketing activities
  • Working with the BD Director to manage and develop the firm’s brand and visual identify
  • Managing relationships with key industry contacts, publications, websites etc.
  • Managing and collating the firm’s directory entries and key corporate documents

The Candidate:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a managerial capacity within professional services
  • An excellent understanding of the full range of marketing and business development activities
  • Proven experience of successfully supporting the delivery of marketing and BD strategies
  • Experience of effectively managing others and measuring performance against objectives
  • Project management experience and able to juggle multiple priorities against tight deadlines
