Purchase Ledger Clerk - up to £22K - Portsmouth

£20K-£22K

An international engineering business has an opening for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team in Portsmouth. You will be maintaining the purchase ledger and ensuring it's compliance to wider group policies.

Purchase Ledger Clerk Responsibilities:

  • Matching invoices and orders
  • Processing invoices from receipt onto the purchase ledger
  • Productions of monthly electronic payment runs
  • Liaison with external suppliers regarding payments and queries
  • Managing all invoice queries to ensure they are resolved in a timely manner and preserve the relationship between the company and suppliers
  • Maintenance of nominal ledger incorporating processing invoices and raising manual cheques
  • Provide cover for the Payroll Supervisor when absent

Purchase Ledger Clerk Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in a purchase ledger position, within a manufacturing environment
  • Payroll knowledge would be an advantage
