Business Development Manager - Building Envelope - London
This is an excellent opportunity for a talented sales professional to manage and develop a field sales territory for a well-established manufacturer within the construction industry. The company designs, produces and supplies a range of technically innovative building products predominately for use in industrial, public sector and commercial properties. The products have been used in many high profile projects across the UK.
The position will require frequent travel by car across the sales territory.
The role's responsibilities include -
·Maintaining and enhancing sales revenue and profitability across the sales region
·Working to agreed KPIs and sales targets
·Developing both new prospects and existing accounts including managing major building project sales
·Building relationships with and promoting the company’s new and existing product range to contractors, sub-contractors and distributors. Also switching competitors’ architectural specifications
·Arranging and attending client visits whether on site or at the client’s premises
·Utilising and maintaining the company sales database/CRM systems
·Analysing and reporting on market trends to enhance marketing proposals
Suitable candidates for this position are highly likely to have an excellent track record of achievement within field sales with a manufacturer or distributor within the construction sector. A knowledge of construction products utilised in the building envelope would be very advantageous. A network of contacts within the cladding, facades or curtain walling market would be particularly helpful. Applicants should be highly personable, target-focused and commercially-aware. Excellent diary management skills; attention to detail and good IT skills are also important attributes.
