My client specialises in the definition, production and supply of products and services to support the implementation of local/national infrastructure for government, travel and communication networks. They now have an opportunity for a Product Line Manager to join their established team working in a genuinely friendly and professional environment.


·Manage product line direction

·Ongoing assessment of current products, pricing & position

·Interacting with business units to develop product requirements

·Ensure all goals & objectives are met via continuous monitoring & reporting on trends, financial changes etc.

·Develop & evaluate opportunities for new products and/or line extensions

·Identify new target markets & related strategies

·Responsible for generating new product concepts

·Participate in technology & product roadmap development

·Develop business cases for new product development, including financial evaluations, market analysis, customer needs etc.

·Initiate, manage & track products through the development cycle

·Develop product definition including performance objectives, reliability & life-cycle forecasts

·Identify sales channels to distribute products to targeted markets/customers

·Develop & launch new products

·Initiate & participate in development of marketing collateral, sales promotions & special incentive programs

·Develop & conduct product, market & application training

·Ensure successful transition to production environment

·Conduct product review meetings


·Bachelor's Degree and 4-7 years of product line experience or equivalent in telecommunications or a related technical industry

·Good telecommunications industry knowledge

·Knowledge of financial components of product & marketing management

·Working knowledge of product contribution margins, P&L statements, budget processes & ROI calculations

·Experience using team collaboration software tools such as JIRA & Confluence

·Knowledge of product management tools such as Aha! would be a distinct advantage

·Analytical & problem solving skills

·Ability to deliver complex concepts both internally & externally

·Proven ability to effectively communicate at all levels in written & verbal format

·Must possess dynamic presentation skills

·Ability to work in a fast-paced, frequent varying environment

·Assertive, persuasive & creative problem-solving skills

·Demonstrate ability to lead & organise cross-functional meetings & committees


·£50,000 - £60,000 p a DOE + £6,800 car allowance + company pension

·09:00 – 17:00 Monday - Friday

·23 Days holidays + stats
