Medium-sized, contemporary interior design studio are looking for a Senior FF&E Designer, with a minimum of 10 years' experience, to work on high-end residential projects on a permanent basis at their office in West London. This is unlike any other FF&E positions as you will be designing bespoke furniture, upholstery and joinery.

You must be extremely comfortable with running projects from concept to completion and being able to manage installation on site or large London properties, with previous experience with lead times and able to find and manage pinch-points in the process. Experience with either residential or hospitality suitable.

You should at least have experience with installation of large London townhouses (up to 5 bedrooms) as well as penthouse apartments, where (due to the sheer number of bespoke pieces) you'll be in charge of the logistics and timings for it all. Therefore, your organisational skills ought to be second to none. They cover projects in London as well as globally including the Middle East, New York, LA etc.

You must have exceptional design abilities and taste, as well as comfortable with technical detailing in AutoCAD. For example you'll be managing the design of bespoke upholstery, which will be custom designed and printed. You'll also be working with budgets, so strong arithmetic skills are essential. If you have exceptional knowledge of soft furnishings, materials etc., then you may also be considered as well as those with technical skills. This role requires you to go above and beyond to ensure that everything the client has is unique and often one-off to them, often requiring you to travel in order to source the best of the best in materials and trades.

You must have strong knowledge of;
· AutoCAD,
· Photoshop,
· InDesign,
· Illustrator.
Knowledge of Vectorworks or strong hand-drawing skills are fine, in place of AutoCAD, but you must have impeccable FF&E abilities to back that up, which you should be able to demonstrate in your portfolio.

You'll be working in a great working environment, where they are supportive of everyone, at every stage in their career, to ensure the practice is well-run and everyone is working to the best of their abilities. The interview will be in two stages, where your technical skills will be tested on either CAD or hand-drawings. This prestigious office is bright and open, with as much detail in their office as in their projects. You'll be wowed straight away by the art on the walls and the auction-bought furniture; this really is a fantastic opportunity, and you need to be able to understand the aesthetic and process of this studio in order to succeed. This is not a procurement-based role.

Salary is negotiable, depending on experience and benefits include 20 days holiday (plus bank holidays and Xmas) and pension.
