Tenancy Enforcement Officer

Mile End, London

Salary £30,000

Full time, 35 hours per week

Our client is currently seeking a Tenancy Enforcement Officer to encourage compliance with tenancy terms and conditions on estates, by taking appropriate enforcement action to deal with all breaches of tenancy including nuisance and anti-social behaviour occurring within housing properties or estates and ensuring that their neighbourhoods remain safe.

This role is brand new and so they are looking for an individual who is not only customer focussed but is also able to grasp an opportunity to develop a brand new service.

The role is twofold. First it will be helping us detect illegal subletting and tenancy fraud, thus ensuring their valuable resource is being used to help households who are in acute need. Secondly, you will also be required to provide a responsive and dynamic service to customers who are experiencing complex/persistent Anti-Social Behaviour.

The successful candidate will be educated to GCSE level standard or equivalent including NVQ. You will have previous experience in a local Authority or public sector office, investigating and dealing with complaints and administrative tasks. Additionally, you will have relevant experience in dealing with the public in potentially sensitive situations.

Due to the nature of the role you will be required to work flexibly to include early/late evening work/visits in response to reported incidents or illegal activity.

You must be able to work in partnership with internal departments and jointly with external partners and agencies to help deliver a responsive and effective service to their residents.

Our client is a housing group.

Closing date for applications: Monday 20 February 2017, midday.

Interview dates: Tuesday 7 March 2017.
