Senior Manager - Commercial

Skyscanner is looking for a highly motivated, experienced and entrepreneurial spirited Senior Manager with a strong background in commercial. 

Working as part of a global team, your primary focus will be to lead initiatives to develop product-commercial enhancements and drive delivery against Direct booking targets.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Acting as the primary interface liaises with other senior staff in the commercial team and other stakeholders to determine opportunities to ensure better commercial performance, contributes to the development of commercial strategies and setting of commercial targets
  • Carries out surveys and analyses customers’ reactions to products to identify key commercial gaps and/or opportunities relating to Direct booking and other products
  • Compiles and analyses commercial figures, prepares proposals for marketing campaigns and product enhancements and undertakes research
  • Develop and implement the required processes and supporting materials that assist with efficient delivery and scalability related to the commercial aspects of Direct Booking and other products
  • Recruits and trains junior employees
  • Produces reports and recommendations concerning commercial strategies for senior management
  • Implement a strategic approach to unlocking critical partnerships achieving targets

Required experience:

  • Have a strong understanding of online media and keeps up to date with products and competitors
  • A drive to get things done and build high potential business stream to be one of the main contributors to the company’s future growth
  • Ability to work autonomously with little day to day supervision, however has an innate ability to bring in the skills and expertise of others to deliver results
  • Experience working in a complex environment that encompasses commercial, project management and coordination with technical teams
  • Previous experience in commercial strategy, development, execution, and the travel industry
