We are looking to recruit a qualified Service and Repair Gas Engineer that is passionate about delivering a great customer service experience to join our team in West London, however you will be covering the Central London areas. Providing both call out and planned works to our social housing stock you will become a valued member of the property maintenance team.
What your role will be
As a Gas Engineer with Places for People you will be expected to ensure all gas appliances and systems owned by the group are serviced and maintained to meet all statutory requirements, customer expectations and group procedures. Our team of Gas Engineers carry out the gas heating and hot water installations, maintenance and servicing works for our internal and external customers in a safe manner. As part of this team you will identify and record any defects found reporting parts/work required following van stock and material ordering procedures. You will maintain the tools, equipment and van provided to you and ensure they are kept in good working order. As customer service is an essential part of our service you will be required to work on a standby/call out rota for to provide out of hours support.
To be considered for this role you will hold a current ACS accreditation in CCN1, CEN1, CPA1 and HTR1. You will have excellent knowledge and experience of fault-finding and maintenance on domestic gas boilers. An understanding of health and safety in the work place is essential for this role. You will see the importance of providing excellent customer care and service and have a positive approach to engaging our customers. Due to the increase in demand for Gas Engineers during the winter months shift patterns will cover between 7:30- 5:30 and include a Saturday shift one in eight. Due to the operational travel involved in this role we require you to possess a valid UK driving license.
