Purpose and objectives of the role

  • To have a clear understanding of customer requirements translating them into a purposeful design
  • To generate sales in line with company targets
  • To work as part of a team upskilling and sharing design skills to enable ‘DAIA’ to become a force competitor within the retail kitchen industry.
Main duties and responsibilities

  • Welcome customers into the showroom offering help and advice making their buying a pleasant experience
  • Explain the products and process to achieve the customers desired outcome
  • Work from customers plans for new builds or extensions or make an appointment to visit their home to measure up and discuss options and possibilities capturing key design elements within a planner sheet
  • Using CAD Design to produce inspirational designs and provide the client with the best possible solutions within their budget
  • Present proposals using full colour visuals explaining in detail the proposed purchased product and quotation. You will be expected to requote at the time of the presentation
  • Confirm the plan and design with the customer and gain their sign off on the plans, design and contract.
  • To explain key documentation to customers so they are clear what they are signing for
  • Follow up all sale leads to ensure all potential sales are captured

  • Interior designer, or
  • HND or equivalent in design
  • Maths and English A - C

  • Customer service
  • Good listening and communication skills
  • Write standard communication documentation, for use by various audiences
  • Presentation skills
  • Good time management

  • MInimum12 months experience in service lead sales and kitchen design
  • Using CAD preferably ‘Winner’
  • Proficient using Microsoft office
  • Customer liaison and Sales
  • Working with architect plans
  • Meeting strict deadlines and paying attention to detail
