Principal Growth Officer
An exciting opportunity has arisen with West Suffolk Councils. We are currently looking for a Principal Growth Officer to come and join our team on a full time, temporary basis for up to 12 months maternity cover. We are offering our Principal Growth Officer a competitive salary of £41,551 - £48,154 per annum, plus a unique benefits package.

About the Principal Growth Officer role
A temporary vacancy has arisen within this dynamic team and we are able to offer an opportunity to play a key role in delivering growth across West Suffolk whilst actively working on an ambitious programme of projects.
The purpose of the Principal Growth Officer position is to be responsible for managing complex and strategically important projects within West Suffolk and to identify, encourage and promote growth opportunities. This role requires you to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, with developers and local communities, to bring forward key strategic development sites and infrastructure. The role involves working closely with politicians from both councils’, as well as the senior leadership team, partnership organisations and teams within West Suffolk Council.
The team works in partnership with a variety of people, both internally and externally, and across private and local government sectors, to deliver one of the council’s top priorities. The complex nature of these projects means we need specialist and dedicated growth support and advice.

The ideal person for this position will need to enjoy a challenge, has a ‘can do’ attitude, is a strategic thinker and solution focused, with experience of delivering projects and working in a political environment, together with being an excellent communicator.
