Business Development Manager
An established Freight Forwarder is looking for a BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER to work from their established BIRMINGHAM office.
The company specialises in European and Irish road freight and operates daily shipments to the following areas:
- IRELAND ( EIRE & N.IRELAND )
- SCANDINAVIA ( SWEDEN, NORWAY, DENMARK & FINLAND )
- GERMANY ( DEPOTS IN DORTMUND AND STUTTGART )
- BENELUX SERVING HOLLAND & BELGIUM ( DEPOT IN APELDOORN, HOLLAND )
Roel and Responsibilities
You will targeted to generate annual new sales from International Freight Forwarding generating a gross profit (GP) of at least 2 x your employment cost
Experience of internal or external sales in our core road freight markets is essential. Having some operations experience would be seen as an advantage.
The ability to price up and calculate your own quotes is essential however full support and back up will be given.
Although we have many sales leads you will be someone who thoroughly enjoys and excels in the canvassing of new clients and in generating your own sales leads & opportunities.
You will be expected to book your own sales appointments and manage your diary effectively
Being a high tempo dynamic business with grand ambitions you will be joining a very passionate, dedicated and demanding team.
The ideal candidate will have a real 'presence' & will be able to present at board level & be comfortable speaking to key decision makers. You MUST have a proven track record in closing business within specifically EUROPEAN ROAD FREIGHT.
