Sheridan Maine is delighted to be working with a client, based in Eastleigh, who are currently recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant job to join their business on a permanent basis.

They operate from a well connected site within Eastleigh and are accessible easily by car and public transport links. Working within a supportive accounts team, you will be given a varied position working with unrivalled support and development.

The Assistant Management Accountant vacancy will include:

- Assist with the management accounts pack preparation including consolidations, variances and forecasting.
- Reconciliation of bank and Balance Sheet accounts.
- Fixed Asset maintenance and VAT return submission.
- Calculation and application of accruals and prepayments.
- Work with the Financial Controller to implement internal controls improvements.
- Provide cover on an ad hoc basis for other team members.

As a successful applicant, you will be experienced working within a similar position and ideally is studying towards a recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA). You will be able to work well with Microsoft Excel and other accounting software. The ability to prioritise and manage your won workload will be required as well as being able to partner with colleagues, both finance and non-finance, across all levels of the business.
