Business Development Manager - CRM / Public Sector
Permanent - £45k - £55k (£90k - £110k OTE) + Benefits

Code Red Associates (CRA) is a leading supplier of Permanent & Contract ICT resource to a variety of Blue Chip, SME & expanding organisations throughout the UK. We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager with experience of working with CRM software & the public sector for a modern & progressive organisation that is committed to customer satisfaction & employee development.

The purpose of the role will include taking ownership for new business sales of CRM software solutions portfolio including sales lead accountability and the ownership of opportunities and pipeline selling to the Local Government marketplace. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include being responsible for managing the entire sales cycle from start to finish and working closely with the marketing function creating campaigns to generate leads within the sector. You will plan and deliver demonstrations to prospects and partners; ensure all prospects are being handled in line with the organisations sales strategy; develop new opportunities in line with business capabilities and strengths; achieve against target; participate in exhibitions & trade shows; take part in regular sales progress meetings and remain commercially astute to market changes.


• A demonstrable & successful track record in new business sales, with a history of selling to senior decision makers
• Experience working in a sales environment for an IT Solutions provider, Software House, IT Outsourcer, IT Consultancy or other such commercial solutions provider
• Track record of working with Local Government, or Central Government organisations
• Experience of writing and winning tenders


• Experience of working with a CRM applications (such as Lagan, MS Dynamics, Northgate Front Office CRM, Oracle CRM, SAP CRM, Sage CRM, Salesforce, Frontrange, Sage CRM, OneServe, Orchard CRM, Civica Contact Manager, etc)

As an individual you will be confident with excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills. You will be of the mind-set to promote communication internally increasing information flow between departments; will have time management and written skills in order to draft bids and proposals. You will also have a sales focus and commercial awareness.

This is a home based with role that involves travel to client sites in the UK. You could expect to be travelling circa 3 days per week visiting clients, attending team meetings or at exhibitions/events, with the rest of the time working at home. As a result you will need to have personal transport and a full UK driving license, in return you will provided with paid transport door-to-door to complement your basic salary.
