This is an incredible Proactive Venue Events Sales Executive opportunity offering the chance to work within and amazing venue that has a variety of events spaces including Bistro, meeting rooms and Conference & events facilities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sales and previous experience of working either within a dedicated events space or 4/5 star hotel property


My client is looking for an entrepreneurial, proactive and driven Venue Event Sales Executive to join this amazing Venue. Ideal candidates will have experience of working within a venue or large hotel offering multiple events space. You will be responsible for meeting a sales target by proactively seeking new clients through business development.

Venue Events Sales Executive Key Responsibilities:

- To devise and implement new business sales strategy for the venue in conjunction with sales manager and sales director
- Identify new markets for revenue potential
- Initiate contact and develop relationships with new markets to develop leads and bookings for external business
- Ensure the CRM and Sales Reports are completed on time and accurately.
- Effectively raise venue profile within the industry
- To grow the business and expand into new markets
- Review and create alternative revenue streams
- Manage reporting and feedback to Sales and Development Manager
- Undertake a minimum of 100 calls a week and 8 appointments with new prospective clients
- Professionally and effectively employ sales skills to achieve targeted sales
- Increase the level of sales and business mix from individual clients
- Overcome client resistance/objections to products
- Follow company sales process and comply with company policies and procedures
- Provide qualified reports on achievement and activities weekly
- Maintain accurate records of all contacts with clients
- Handle correspondence related to all selling activities
- Provide a weekly schedule of planned activities
- Attend client and company events
- Achieve sales activities within specified time scales as directed by Sales and Development Manager

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience :

- Have previous proactive sales experience, ideally in a Events venue environment or 4 or 5 star hotel property
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to negotiate in a professional manner, maintaining the interests of the business at all times
- Excellent standard of written and spoken English and numeracy
- High level of attention to detail
- Be computer literate, (e.g. MS Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience of a computerised diary/booking system would be beneficial
- Experience of and ability to present effectively to clients
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent telephone manner
- Experience of, and ability to show initiative in, a pressured target driven environment
- Be flexible and able to work longer hours at business critical times.
