Job Title: Head of Operations

Hours: Full time/ permanent

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience)

Location: Nr. Bordon

We are working in partnership with Pancreatic Cancer Action, a small charity with a huge voice shouting about much needed change for pancreatic cancer. The charity is passionately committed to affecting real change with the focus on ensuring that patients are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer at a stage that gives them the best chance of survival. The award winning charity was founded by a survivor, who proves thatthere is hope, early diagnosis is achievableandsurvival is possible.

The charity is now seeking to appoint a Head of Operations to organise and oversee the daily operations of Pancreatic Cancer Action (PCA) and to manage all aspects of the operation as PCA grows significantly over the next 3-5 years. You will hold direct responsibility for financial management, HR, Health & Safety, Office Management and service delivery. The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Business acumen

  • Line management experience

  • Financial management experience including accounting, developing and implementing new procedures

  • Experience of developing and monitoring budgets

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills

  • HR good practise, policies and procedures

The successful individual will have a strong motivation to contribute to PCA’s work and ambitions with an empathy for the cause. You will report to the CEO and as a member of the senior management team, will be results-orientated, innovative and strategic, but prepared to be hands-on when required.
