We are currently recruiting for a Major Donor Officer at our Head Office in London. This opportunity is to work 37.5 hours per week (full time) on a permanent basis.

About the role
This is an exciting role working within the High Value Relationships team; they are responsible for raising significant funds from Major Donors, Trusts & Statutory bodies and from Special Events.
The role is to support the Major Donor Fundraising Manager to implement the strategy for Sense and Sense International. You will be responsible for recruiting, developing and managing high net worth individuals giving gifts of £5,000 and over. You will be involved in all stages of the of the Major Gifts programme from prospect research through to personally securing gifts from individuals.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing individual strategies and providing excellent stewardship. This role is key to ensuring that income from high value relationships is substantially increased over the next 3-5 years.

Skills and abilities
You will be educated to degree level and have the ability to build relationships with high net worth individuals and people of differing seniority. It is beneficial to have experience raising significant funds within a charitable organisation.
Your excellent communication and writing skills will allow you to communicate information in a compelling and honest manner. In addition, you are a creative thinker and will have the ability to develop new opportunities and effectively plan and prioritise a complex workload. You will excel working under pressure and have the ability to maintain positive relationships thought-out.
