Sales Manager - Field Team

Portsmouth Based / Sector: Packaging, Print & Sales

Baobab Sales is excited to resource on behalf of our client who provides a wide range of high quality print and packaging solutions to an impressive client base. They are currently seeking for a pro-active manager to drive the sales team of 4 to meet all targets and KPIs.

They are looking for someone who possesses determination, motivation and acute attention to detail in ensuring all sales opportunities are captured and explored by all members of the team.

This key role will have operational responsibilities as well as strategic support. The selected candidate will play a fundamental role in developing future growth, and will provide vision and direction. This will require you to demonstrate a thorough understanding of client’s business needs and marketing objectives.

Skills/abilities required:

  • Management and development of a team of 4 experienced field sales executives
  • Target management, appraisals and KPIs will be a key responsibility, as well as delivering regular performance reports.
  • Management of existing customer relationships, and proactive development of new customer relationships with set UK geographical areas
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and outstanding communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Strong leadership, motivation and mentoring
  • Commercially and financially astute
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Can develop ongoing training initiatives to develop the team
  • An accomplished sales & marketing leader, with exemplary track record of developing performing sales teams.
  • Outstanding and charismatic, with a sound understanding of SME business culture.
  • Commercially minded with the gravitas and intellect to add real value to the senior team.

Although the client is not looking for a "what turnover can you bring" sales manager, they want to appoint someone who has already experience a good level of sales success in either litho, digital or both areas and managing existing teams.
