Head Chef, Prestigious Events Venue, Central London (Monday - Friday)

Salary up to £35,000

We are currently recruiting for a passionate and experienced Head Chef for a leading contract catering company who are well known for innovation, fresh quality ingredients and setting new styles and trends. The venue is based in London, catering for a small café, restaurant a for a variety of events, ranging from large scale functions such as weddings, conferences and award ceremonies to more intimate gatherings.

Working alongside the Executive Chef, you will have bags of charisma, enjoy thinking 'outside the box’ and have a proven track record of leading a medium brigade successfully to deliver an exceptional service. Experience working at high volume functions in either contract catering sights or restaurants is crucial and they must be able to work efficiently under pressure, whilst ensuring that the highest standards are met. As Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of for the café, restaurant and events including canapes, buffets and fine dining events, so solid experience across the board is needed.

The Head Chef must have experience in menu planning and development, food costs and control and budgeting. The candidate must be commercially aware, keep up with the latest food trends and have extensive knowledge of H&S and Food Hygiene procedures. A strong personality and the attitude to go the extra mile to exceed expectations is vital.

This role is predominately Monday-Friday, but the candidate will ned to be flexible and available to commit to assisting at the odd event during the weekend.
