Paid Social Account Manager
Merkle | Periscopix are looking for talented individuals to join our paid social campaign team, which is rapidly growing and well respected within the industry.
You’re probably familiar with social media, and paid social is a way of advertising online to targeted consumers. Users browsing social networks could see paid social ads, and advertisers pay for the serving of those ads.
You will work with colleagues and clients to understand our clients’ objectives and will formulate a campaign strategy based around these. You will be responsible for designing and implementing campaigns, analysing performance data, and identifying ways to optimise performance. You will liaise directly with clients, providing them with regular reports, analysis, insights and big-picture strategy.
As part of a fast growing team you will be encouraged to help assist with our evolution and will have the opportunity to learn about new areas within the social space, often having the chance to be first to market with new tools or targeting strategies.
Paid social advertising is a rapidly evolving sector and there is a strong focus on sharing skills and experience within the team. You will be encouraged to participate in, and contribute to, our various initiatives in this regard as well as publishing blog posts etc. to help promote our capabilities with the wider community.
Thanks to the rapid growth and our commitment to hiring only at junior levels, there are fantastic opportunities for career progression. These include mentoring and training, development of our technical capabilities and thought leadership, driving strategy across multiple accounts, and ultimately the potential to manage a team of specialists.
While some previous experience in digital marketing would be a plus, it’s not an absolute requirement as we provide a training program to all new joiners. It may feel like a lot to take in at first but you’ll be up to scratch in no time.
Hopefully the above has given you a picture of what your day or week could look like here; fast-paced, autonomous and hugely rewarding. As such, we’re looking for enthusiastic people who are comfortable managing their own time, able to effectively prioritise work and recognise problems and opportunities to seek support as necessary.
We don’t necessarily need you to have worked in digital marketing before but there are some key requirements. This is very much a client-facing role and as such, impeccable written and verbal communication skills are a must. Also, you must feel highly confident in dealing with people at a range of different levels. With the unique targeting and ad format options at your disposal with paid social, a degree of creativity is key to getting the most from your campaigns. You’re going to be optimising your campaign based on data; so whilst you don’t have to be Stephen Hawking, being comfortable with basic numeracy and spreadsheetery is really handy. Similarly, logic and reasoning skills are a must if you’re to effectively tackle troubleshooting and problems in a successful way. Finally - passion, ambition and curiosity are all great traits in any candidate as they demonstrate your ability to be a good team-player who will contribute to our ongoing success.
To demonstrate the above, we’re looking for you to have an outstanding academic record (remember, we love geeks!) including the following or equivalent:
• Minimum of 320 UCAS points (ABB at A level)
• A degree classification of 2:1 or above (in any subject)
Language skills are a huge plus, except perhaps Latin or Klingon.
We offer starting salaries of £22,000-25,000 depending on experience (think of all the Pot Noodles!) and an excellent package including 25 days’ holiday, a mobile phone and a company pension scheme.
Unfortunately, at the moment we cannot support visa applications so you must have permission to work in the UK before applying.
To be considered for this role, please click on "Apply on recruiter's website" and complete our quick application form.
We look forward to hearing from you!
