Experienced EBD English teacher to teach pupils with statements of emotional and behavioural difficulties (SEBD/EBD)

This school in Enfield has been maintained for young people with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.

The role will involve teaching english to KS3 as well as primary pupils at KS2. Alternatively a Primary Teacher who can teach English to lower KS3 students within a differentiated classroom environment to young people for whom learning and the accessing of learning has proven difficult.

The successful candidates will have a dynamic yet empathetic approach to delivering accessible, well structured lessons that follow the National Curriculum.

Lessons are required to be dynamic and structured to monitor and guide learning and the successful candidates will be expected to impress their own style and influence upon the delivery of lessons and exercise good judgement in the differentiation that is employed for each student. Moreover, this role will allow the successful candidate to benefit from a comprehensive CPD structure within the school, giving them ample opportunity to develop and diversify their teaching portfolio.

Pupils have the opportunity to sit 9 GCSEs or equivalent, relevant qualifications and are inspired and motivated to continue their learning in further education. The philosophy is that every person at the school should have equal opportunities to learn, develop their skills and fulfil their potential.
