Vacancy: Support Worker
Salary: £14,720 per annum (£18,155 per annum pro rata)
Hours of work: Permanent Part Time (30 hours per week)

The main duties for this post will be to provide emotional support to service users, provide personal care, support and promote daily independence and wellbeing. You will have a good understanding of the needs of older people and previous experience working in a care and support role. Experience in carrying out support planning meetings and reviews is essential.

As a requirement of the role you will be working on a rota basis including weekends, early mornings, afternoon shifts and sleep-ins.

Staffed 24 hours a day, the scheme provides tailored care and support to meet the needs of each individual, which can range from high level care to help them carry out daily tasks such as personal care including bathing and washing, dressing, taking medication, cooking and cleaning; to lower level support as and when is needed. The scheme also provides communal activities and recreation, such as bingo, coffee mornings and communal gardening.

Situated in the heart of Stratford, the scheme consists of 32 contained flats, each with a lounge, bathroom and kitchen. The communal facilities include a lounge, kitchen, dining area, laundry and garden.
