Maintenance Technician Electrical
As a Water Recycling Services Electrical Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for the day-to-day planned preventative and reactive maintenance, general repairs and the rectification of faults on sewage and vacuum pumping stations and water recycling assets, either directly or with the support of contractors.
You'll keep all kinds of equipment at our Water Recycling plants, sewage and vacuum pumping stations operational. Out and about in all weathers, we'll expect you to carry out quality planned and reactive maintenance, investigate and diagnose complex faults, report on failing assets and to carry out repairs.
You'll make sure health and safety procedures are at the heart of everything that's done, procuring whatever goods and services are needed to keep things flowing at the best possible value for our customers and us.
We currently have opportunities available in both Reactive and Planned Maintenance teams. Basic working patterns for both roles are 37 hours per week over 5 days.
Reactive Maintenance Technicians will require participation in an out of hours standby rota which includes weekend working as well as evenings/night time call outs - you will receive an additional payment for these duties.
It is essential you have served a electrical apprenticeship or equivalent NVQ, complemented by ONC/BTEC or City and Guilds parts 1 and 2. Experience in (high voltage) 415 V, fault finding and modification of control panels , and installation is essential and instrumentation would be an advantage.
Although this role is very much a field based position, includes a some amount of workshop work.
