A permanent opportunity to join the finance team of a growing G15 housing organisation has arisen. In this position you will oversee rent and service charge accounting in both social and leasehold housing. You will take full ownership of all Group Service Charges and Rents and manage a customer focused team in supporting the continuous growth of the leasehold population, driving forward the organisation as a whole.

Responsibilities include;
-Managing the annual budget setting process and annual financial statement production
-Managing annual rent increase for various group business units via rent restructuring model
-Managing secure rent increases within rent accounting with the Finance Rent Officer
-Delivering annual service charge setting process
-Budgeting, reforecasting and variance management and reporting
-Notifying and liaising with leaseholders and tenants of changes
-Accounting for, monitoring and reporting on service charge income and expenditure
-Managing and resolving resident queries
-Developing, building and managing a high performance customer focused team
-Advise senior management on rent policy, service charge and leaseholder management issues
-Participate in staff engagement activities e.g. roadshows, staff conferences, people management group sessions.

The ideal candidate will be a CCAB qualified accountant with experience of rent and service charges in a housing context. You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to build relationships at a senior level and also possess experience in the management and development of staff.
