Part Time Payroll & Accounts Assistant
£30,000 pro rata - 22 ½ hours (£18K for 3 days work on 5 half days flexi)
Woking, Surrey

Due to expansion, a local business in the outskirts of Woking are seeking a Part Time Payroll & Accounts Assistant reporting to the Group Finance Manager, who will be responsible for managing the payrolls, paying employee expenses and processing invoices for creditors.

Working in a team of 3, the payroll will take up to approximately 3 days a month. The bigger part of the role is the data processing, making payments and making sure that nominal ledgers reconcile so candidates must have strong current accounts experience to trial balance at least.

Managing 2 payrolls:
Manage and Run the UK payroll in-house
Inputting of US payroll bimonthly which is outsourced
· Manage sick leave, leavers, joiners, tax code charges, SMP, SPP, student loans
· Correspond with HMRC re P45, P11 coding notices
· Calculate SMP, SPP, overtime, commissions
· Run the monthly payroll
· Generate bacs payments for salaries and expense refunds
· Prepare payroll journals and post to accounting system
· Manage monthly PAYE and NI reconciliations and returns to Revenue, and submit timely payments for same
· Payroll Year End on Sage and for HMRC including P60, P11Ds (UK)
· Issue S336 for staff who have expenses
· Track and process employee personal and credit card expenses for UK
· Customer expense recharges
· Intercompany recharges
· Accruals/deferrals
· Maintain fixed asset registers/depreciation
· Process supplier invoices
· Process receipts/payments from cashbooks
· Process electronic payments to suppliers

Qualifications/ Experience:
· Experience of running a UK payroll
· Working knowledge of all payroll processes and tax calculations
· Strong accounts experience to trial balance
· Microsoft Excel is essential
· Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics is an advantage
Benefits include parking, pension, 21 days' holiday FTE - 12.5 for three days
Hours: 2 days per week = 22.5 hours per week, excluding a lunch break. Hours to suit over the three days.
