Assist the Business Operations Finance Manager with the administration and reporting of the Firm's annual expenditure budget (circa. £130m). The role will have a particular focus on taking responsibility for the Firm's business development budget.
Main duties and responsibilities
Lead on the preparation of the annual business development budget and support the Business Operations Finance Manager to prepare the annual budget/forecasts across all other functional areas.
Manage on a day to day basis the Firm's business development spend ensuring costs are accurately recorded to the appropriate project codes.
Month end reporting including the preparation of insightful commentaries and trend analysis for the Firm's business development expenditure.
Maintain and further develop/streamline a 'self service' suite of reports delivered through the firm's intranet.
Pro-actively seek out opportunities for continuous improvement and automate report production.
Develop effective working relationships with the Business Development Director/Managers and be the key point of contact for all finance related matters within the Business Development Team.
Prepare and distribute monthly overhead reports across the firm and carry out reallocation or investigate requests where necessary.
Maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation journals for the UK offices.
Support the Business Operations Finance Manager with the month end close and reporting, to include accruals and prepayment journals.
Assist with ad hoc queries from a variety of budget holders and deputise for the Business Operations Finance Manager.
Other ad-hoc responsibilities as agreed between the Business Operations Finance Manager, Group Financial Controller and Director of Business Development.
