Business Development Manager

Market-leading and well-established, our foreign exchange client is one of the leading names in the market. Their Corporate Partnerships team is an increasingly important part of the business and they’re now looking to add a talented business development manager to their London team to help grow the division.
As a Business Development Manager in the Corporate Partnerships team your role will comprise three key functions. Firstly, you will be hunting for new partners through outbound prospecting. Secondly, you’ll be looking after existing partners to manage these relationships and increase referrals. Lastly, your job will be to reengage and reigniteinactive or dormant partnerships.
You will have a lot of strategic support to identify new industry verticals and sectors to target for new business. The team you’ll be joining consists of 6 other BDMs as well as Relationship Managers and Account Managers. The role carries a lot of freedom for you to carve out your own new partners. You will be representing the company at events and exhibitions.
Imagine that your day will start off by prospecting and calling potential new leads and contacts, then in the afternoon you will be meeting partners in the office or offsite close to their business.
The corporate world is wide open with so many companies having access to clients who they can refer business to you.
This role will be perfect for you if you’re a natural networker and hunter for new business. You’ll have a strong understanding of the business world and you must have some experience of the foreign exchange sector. If you’ve never worked in it, you ought to, at least, be able to demonstrate your interest in it, or have sold a financial service before.

As for the kind of skills and experience you should have, if you can prove that you have the following, the better matched you’re likely to be:·3 years’ experience in professional B2B sales role with successful track record of generating new business·Comfortable and confident with telesales work including cold-calling·Knowledge of financial services markets, products and services (ideally Forex)
The salary is £30,000 with OTE of £50,000 in year 1, rising considerably thereafter. In addition, there are several employee benefits available, such as BUPA membership, a staff currency allowance, and a pension scheme with company contributions to match yours.
