Are you an enthusiastic and passionate individual who is looking to expand and grow your career in Pharmacy? An excellent opportunity has become available in the Lowestoft area for Band 6/7 Clinical Pharmacist working within a GP practice.


The Clinical Pharmacist will work as part of the general practice team to resolve day-to-day medicine issues and consult with and treat patients directly. This includes proving extra help to manage long-term conditions, advice for those on multiple medications and better access to health checks. This role is pivotal to improve the quality of care and ensure patient safety.
Having a clinical pharmacist in GP practices means GPs can focus their skills where they are most needed, for example on diagnosing and treating patients with complex conditions. This helps GPs manage the demands on their time.

The ideal candidate will ideally need to have previous experience of working in a GP surgery and also NHS experience which is mandatory.

Your Impact and duties:
*Accept and dispense prescription medications
*Provide consultation on prescription and non-prescription medications for storage, dosage, side effects, and drug interactions
*Educate patients on proper handling of medical devices such as blood pressure monitor and glucose meters
*Compound medications for external or internal use
*Prepare sterile solutions following proper procedures
*Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage patterns
*Supervise pharmacy staff members including pharmacy technicians, pharmacy clerks, etc.

Education and Qualifications:
*NVQ Level 3 and BTEC or equivalent qualification in Pharmaceutical Science.
*GPHC registered


Experience and Knowledge:
*Previous experience of working in a GP surgery
*NHS experience
*CGG experience
