EYFS Coordinator Near Southall Paying £25,000

Rapidly expanding client is looking to take on an additional member of staff for their nursery

Nursery 75 places nursery with 3 main rooms

Reporting to Nursery Manager Key Relationships Director of Early Years, Regional Team (including Commercial Director), Nursery Managers, EY team and Central office teams

Hours of Work - Base hours of 40 per week. However, additional hours will be expected in order to ensure duties and responsibilities are performed to a satisfactory standard.

Must have a foundation degree, the position is available immediately.


Lead and manage all aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage delivery across all age groups on a day-to-day basis. Responsible for high-quality practice in line with the company philosophy; implementation of EYFS learning and development requirements including observation, assessment and planning, tracking children’s progress, and safety and wellbeing of children.

Early Years Provision

  • Work as part of the senior team in the nursery to:
  • Drive and deliver the highest standards of care throughout the nursery as detailed in the EYFS, company EY audit and OFSTED inspection schedule
  • Embed staff commitment to the core values and guiding principles;
  • Manage effective key person systems to promote children’s emotional well-being and develop secure attachments
  • Manage communications and relationships with outside agencies such as Early Years Advisors, Ofsted and other professionals;
  • Manage high-quality child development records for all children;
  • Act as a positive role model to develop positive relationships between staff, parents/carers
  • Ensure that legal requirements as set out in EYFS are met at all times and recommendations/actions from inspections are implemented successfully;
  • Lead the team in the planning and development of inspiring and creative environments for children and babies;
  • Plan, attend and lead informative parents evenings, staff meetings, fundraising events as necessary;
  • Monitor all aspects of EYFS provision to ensure the learning and development requirements are implemented effectively at all times
  • Ensure children are provided with an environment that encourages them to value and respect different cultures, religion, language and disability;
  • Assist the manager in ensuring Safeguarding Children procedures are followed and you know what to do in the event of an allegation being made;
  • Lead care that reflects Equal Opportunities for all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disability and respects diversity; Contribute effectively to highest quality standards for Health, Safety and cleanliness throughout the nursery
  • Contribute to the effective implementation of all emergency and security procedures, e.g. fire procedures, routines for dropping off and collecting children and daily register of attendance
  • Maintain accident records in accordance with company policy and legislation - ensure all relevant reports are reported to Director of Early Years, RIDDOR and OFSTED where appropriate
  • Carry out any other reasonable tasks as requested by your line manager
