Our client, a leading main contractor within the social housing repairs and maintenance industry, are currently looking to add a planner/scheduler to their team in Swinton, Manchester.

This is a permanent position with a three month probation period.

The selected candidate must have:

·Experience as a Planner/Scheduler with a main contractor

·Experience of working with computerized systems, including data entry and project planning

·Knowledge of the filing and retrieval operations of numerical filing systems

·Experience of working to deadlines in a busy office environment

·Use of general office equipment

·Utilise Optitime for managing resources

·Ability to investigate, evaluate and respond to situations quickly

·Ability to reallocate work and resources to prevent overdue work

·Make effective decisions based on objective assessment of situations

·Willing to share good practice

·Keen to look for continuous improvements and apply processes

·Willing Ability to control multiple processes simultaneously to share good practice

The selected candidate’s main duties will be to:

·Monitor constantly ensuring efficient use of resources to meet turnaround within set timescales

·Identify and maximize potential to exceed completion date

·Decide upon action to require to change or reallocate resources to achieve maximum efficiencies

·Identify causes of problems and decide appropriate actions to maintain KPI turnaround times

·Liaise with Performance Manager to resolve issues relating to missed appointments or job related problems

·Monitor agreed corrective actions

·Working with schedulers and surveyors monitor void progress across the district and utilise resources to meet KPI turnaround times

·Responsive Repairs

·Monitor job completion times

·Monitor appointments kept

·Identify potential to miss appointment

·Re-schedule resources as required

·Investigate areas below target and agree actions with team to bring back inline

·Preventing jobs going overdue - target - zero tolerance

·Minimizing down-time

·Meeting P&L targets

·Minimise travel within district - target 10-15 miles per day per operative

·To organize and collate all tenant omissions, refusals and ensure that all paperwork confirming the same is in place.

·To assist with the development and implementing of programmes together with KPI reporting.

·To undertake any other duties as required by the Company from time to time, if these duties are of a greater level of responsibility or skill that those required in the post, then full training and appropriate supervision will be provided.

This is an immediate requirement, with interviews to be held as soon as possible with the view to starting immediately.
