We have a new vacancy for a Building Surveyor / Assistant Building Surveyor to join a well-established Architectural and Building Surveying Consultancy in Essex.
The successful Building Surveyor / Assistant Surveyor will be a minimum graduate qualified building surveyor however, candidates with 2 to 3 years’ experience will have an advantage.
The successful Building Surveyor must be able to write specifications and good experience in Contract Administration.
Building Surveyor Role: -
The Building Surveyor / Assistant Building Surveyor will report to an Associate.
You will be responsible for building good working relationships with directors, staff, clients, contractors and other third parties.
Responsible, under supervision, for smaller projects and assisting on major projects, you'll undertake measured surveys and plot existing and proposed plans, in addition to preparing tender documents, working drawings, specifications, H&S risk assessments and schedules of work, under supervision. As well as evaluating tenders and assisting in the production of tender reports, co-ordinating design information with colleagues preparing planning applications and other submissions for statutory consent helping with on-site project management planned maintenance and condition surveys.
Role Requirements and Qualifications: -
Degree Qualified, preferably with a RICS-accredited degree in Building Surveying and aspiring to MRICS,
Preferably a post-graduate with 2 to 3 years’ experience in a similar role. Ability to write specifications and contract administration experience.
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Able to work on your own initiative with minimum supervision and as one of a team, you can perform effectively under reasonable pressure and manage relationships with tact and diplomacy
- Salary £25,000 - £35,000 Depending on experience
