Associate Lawyer / Pensions /Investment / Procurement / Public sector
A Head for Pensions. A Heart for People.
Our client is a £23 billion organisation that protects millions of people who belong to thousands of eligible pension schemes throughout the UK.
Hundreds of thousands of people depend on them to pay them compensation for the pension they lost when their employers or former employers went bust and could no longer afford to pay what they had promised.
People don't choose to come to go to them, but they're here as their lifeboat when they need them - and they value every member. For them, it's all about protecting people's futures - and that's their vision. So, why not join them and make a real difference to people's lives?
Due to our clients ongoing commitment to achieving the highest levels of service, they are now looking to recruit an additional qualified lawyer. Ideally you will be at least 5PQE and be able to demonstrate a strong track record of success within the pensions landscape. This is a great opportunity for a qualified lawyer to join a high-profile organisation that is currently enjoying significant media coverage. You will be working on a variety of issues and our ideal candidate will be comfortable working in an autonomous way, although always part of a supportive team. You will have ample opportunity to demonstrate not only your legal abilities but your strategic and commercial acumen. Their in house team is highly consultative with the business and therefore, strong stakeholder skills are a must. Whilst experience of providing legal advice on pensions law is obviously essential, they’re keen to talk to candidates who can demonstrate another area of relevant experience such as investment, procurement etc. Applicants from both inhouse and private practice backgrounds will be considered.
So if you are a driven and credible lawyer, this is your opportunity to work within a sector defining, hybrid organisation: financial services and public sector. They are heavily committed to ongoing learning and development and will work with you to support your continuous professional development.
Our client operates the 'two ticks' scheme. Candidates with a disability who meet the essential criteria for this role will be guaranteed an interview under this scheme.
They are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
