Job Description:As National Sales Manager you will have full P&L responsibility and utilise your existing knowledge and contacts to really strengthen this area of the business. This role is reporting into the managing Director and the successful applicant will have the chance to make some significant changes and steps forward. You will be responsible for managing an external and internal sales team growing this part of the business, hiring a team as it grows and being the expert for the company within this product range.The Person: The successful candidate will need to have strong leadership skills, be capable of implementing change and developing the staff to meet the expectations of a demanding customer base. Sales leadership and people management are crucial to this role. This is not a ‘desk’ based role; in order to be successful the candidate will be active and confident leading from the front with his/her sleeves rolled up. The appointee will be a member of the company’s Executive Management Team and would be expected in due course to become a director of the business. Experience working with the building and construction sector and knowledge of the coatings or floorcoverings sector would be extremely advantageous. Looking for someone who is entrepreneurial and ambitious who is looking for a new challenge and their next step. Excellent negation and influencing skills are required and the ability to make own decisions and be self motivated.The Benefits: The package that comes with this National Sales Manager role are negotiable and will include a basic of circa £50,000 - £55,000+ car + bonus + benefits
