Finance Business Partner

We have two exciting positions available for a dynamic and proactive individual to join our busy Finance Team, as the Finance Business Partners to the People Directorate.
Specifically the roles will provide advice and support to budget managers working within services areas and functions related to:
- Adult Social Care and Public Health with a £100m budget
- The Better Care Fund (£30m) and Integrated Services with NHS (c£45m),
- Children and Families (£60m budget)
- Schools Forum to ensure appropriate management of the Dedicated Schools Grant (>£150m p.a.)
The post holder is expected to provide a supportive but challenging role when working with managers in the preparation of monthly budget forecasts, development of medium term financial plan and budget; being able to identify potential risks and issues and provide advice and support to managers in managing these.
The role will also be involved in the closure of accounts, provision of information for various financial returns and is expected to assist in improving financial processes.
It is essential that you have well developed IT skills, with a good level of spreadsheet expertise, and an effective approach to communicating financial information in a clear and understandable way to budget managers and other colleagues.
You will also need to be able to demonstrate that you can develop effective working relationships in fulfilling this role and ideally have some experience of managing staff.
