The new post holder will provide leadership, direction and real time management to the financial crime operation, leading compliance with anti-money laundering laws and regulation, protecting the reputation of the Bank and providing a positive customer experience.

Through 6 Direct reports, managing an operation of 80fte, you will be responsible for leading, developing and improving performance of anti-money laundering and Sanctions issues management, risk assessment, management information, reporting and training.

Your natural style will be engaging, proactive, and innovative to ensure you can get the best from your teams. You will be a very effective stakeholder manager, and will ensure you clear and collaborative communication style is evident across with whole business with the expectation you will become involved in several cross functional programmes.

Specific responsibilities will include
*Deputise for the Director of Customer Service Operations when required.
*Accountable for delivery of key Financial Crime processes/measures compliantly.
oManaging customer and payment screening alerts.
oManaging transaction monitoring alerts and completing reporting requirements to law enforcement.
oManaging customer due diligence requirements and undertaking account reviews.
oFulfilling Court Production Orders and other legal orders.
oAccountability for the design development and management of local procedures and best practice guides that support the Operation.
*Build effective relationships with key stakeholders including other Financial Crime teams that provide policy and system requirements.

In prior roles, you will have also supported complex change across the business to ensure service improvements can be made and process improvements delivered effectively in a highly competitive market.

Strong Operational experience within financial crime is essential.
