If you are seeking an opportunity to develop your skills and experience as a Management Accountant, this could be an ideal role for you! Our dedicated In Flight Retail (IFR) team are currently looking for an accountant to join them in helping to ensure a smooth running service. You will be challenged with meeting tight reporting deadlines, maintaining accuracy at all times and identifying areas of risk.

What the role is:

Your role is essential to the service delivery of the IFR function. You will be responsible for the management of accounts, the collation of reports and forecasting. You must be commercially astute and use your keen eye for detail to identify any areas of concern.

What you’ll be doing will include:

  • Preparation of IFR Accounts and Reports including

- IFR weekly flash forecast including commentary

- Internal quarterly forecasts and yearly budgets for all IFR contracts

- Period End management accounts for all airlines

  • Preparation of all periodic balance sheet reconciliations
  • Preparation of Commission Statements as required
  • Responsible for overseeing the management of the cash/ credit card reconciliation process ensuring any discrepancies are quickly actioned
  • Support the Senior Management Accountant with all external SLA reporting requirements in line with contractual agreements
  • Tracking and production of the SLA Penalties Report, collating information from the business on operational performance
  • Review the service delivery and performance of key internal processes assisting the development of existing methods and reporting tools
  • Liaise with external stakeholders on a daily basis to ensure that cash collections are met and/ or rescheduled as required as per contractual agreements in line with activity
  • Responsible for the production and management of the periodic Finance Report vs. Forecast and IFR Management Accounts reporting requirements
  • To ensure that all pricing variations are tracked and accounted for e.g. product discounts/ promotions to avoid errors on collection
  • Responsible for analysing data and ensuring that the correct documentation is in place in order to ensure compliance at all times e.g. PCI Compliance
  • Analyse data to investigate any key internal/ external variances for example credit cards and chargebacks
  • Responsible for arranging Cap Ex request forms for all back office functions within IFR
  • Completing checks and authorising IFR related invoices ahead of processing
  • Act as key point of contact within Central Finance to capture updates for the SAP system, providing reporting summaries on IFR Accounts
  • Act as the key point of contact with External Auditors for all IFR accounting procedures

What you’ll have will include:

  • Be qualified or part qualified in either CIMA or ACA
  • Be commercially astute
  • Possess Finance Management experience
  • Highly computer literate - Advanced Excel
  • Possess a high level of attention to detail and accuracy with an ability to deliver on strict deadlines
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills with both internal and external stakeholders
