A Global Leader in the Civil Engineering Industry have a brand new Senior Buyer opportunity within their Central London Head Office. The role will be responsible for negotiating terms and prices for all material and services required for major projects across the UK.
We are looking to speak with candidates who have experience buying for major civil engineering projects, that are confident leading supplier negotiations.
Support the Senior Procurement Manager with multiple projects across the UK
Lead supplier negotiations
Produce all tendering documentation
Negotiate packages for materials and services
Carry out day to day purchasing of materials
Source new suppliers, along with developing relationships with the current supply chain
Selecting appropriate suppliers taking all factors in account such as price, lead time and quality
Monitor supplier performance, developing any underperforming suppliers
Resolve any quality issues with suppliers
Represent procurement at site / project visits
Proven buying experience within civil engineering / construction
Experience negotiating packages
Experience negotiating long term contracts (For materials, services and plant)
MCIPS (Desirable not essential)
