THE ROLE: Accountant-Cambridge, Cambridgeshire

Our client is looking for an Accountant to give financial support to the business in a period of significant portfolio development. The Accountant will be responsible for assisting the business in managing its finances: producing budgets, forecasts and business plans as well as co-ordinating the day to day activities of the management accounts team.

Key Responsibilities to include: - Accountant-Cambridge, Cambridgeshire

You will be supporting OCR (Oxford Cambridge and RSA Examinations) in managing their finances, advising directors and managers on areas of best practice. You will proactively produce financial information to assist divisions with monitoring and controlling costs and to support business decisions. You will deputise for the Head of Management Accounts

Key experience for the role: Accountant-Cambridge, Cambridgeshire
  • A qualified Accountant or finalist with experience of manipulating financial data within a management accounting environment
  • Experience of managing staff
  • Experience of an ERP highly desirable, preferably SAP
  • Ability to use Excel at an advanced level
  • Ability to apply relevant accounting standards to all areas of work
  • Ability to manage own time and to prioritise
  • A very high level of numeracy
  • Be able to manipulate data to provide relevant and useful information to stakeholders
